The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion by the students of Balvatika- I, KG to Class II. The celebration beautifully depicted the life, teachings and divine leelas of Lord Krishna through various cultural presentations.
The students of Classes I and II presented a wonderful dance performance dedicated to Shri Krishna, which captivated everyone with its grace, expressions and vibrant energy.
The students of KG, Classes I and II also presented a series of beautifully decorated jhankis (tableaux) based on various leelas from the life of Lord Krishna. These included Krishna Janam in the prison (karagar), Vasudev carrying baby Krishna to Gokul, Makhan Chor, Kaliya Nag Daman, Govardhan Leela, Raas Leela, Krishna's friendship with Sudama, and Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi resting on Sheshnag. Each tableau was presented with great creativity and enthusiasm, bringing the stories of Krishna's divine existence to life.
For the first time along with the tableaux, the students of Classes I and II also presented the Dashavatar, making the celebration even more special and memorable.
The entire programme was highly appreciated by everyone present. The Manager of David School appreciated the sincere efforts and dedication of the students and teachers. His words of appreciation motivated everyone.
The Janmashtami celebration was truly a joyful occasion for all of us.
